Principal's Note

Victoria Draper

At Alexandra Primary School, we strive to create safe, positive and engaging learning environments to provide our students every opportunity for success. We want our students to be the best they can be, to support them to be happy, well rounded, confident members of their community. Our strong commitment to student learning is supported by quality teaching practice, regular team planning and ongoing professional learning by our dedicated staff.

At Alexandra Primary School, we believe that strong values at the core provide students with the necessary foundations for success by having opportunity to learn in a safe and engaging environment.

Our school values include Respect, Care, Integrity and Achieve, and are embedded through our Wellbeing Program; an ongoing goal-orientated process based on sound principles and practices that maximise academic, social and emotional development and learning for our students with a particular focus on mutual respect, inclusiveness and achieving personal best.
Our Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan focus on further developing skills in Literacy, Numeracy and Student Engagement from Prep to Year 6. There is specific emphasis around refining whole school writing, spelling and numeracy programs to support high quality teaching and learning.

Technology is embedded into the teaching and learning program at Alexandra Primary School, ensuring that our students are well prepared for challenges of the world in the future. The use of Chromebooks facilitates the development of ideas and open exploration that will be crucial for success in future endeavours.
Alexandra is fortunate to have a supportive parent community headed by an active School Council that is highly engaged in our school community.

I welcome the opportunity to further discuss what Alexandra Primary School can offer your child.
